“It’s Like That One…”

Started to write on 10/03/21

So I’m reading the Bible for the first time, right, and other than the popular verses printed and sung everywhere, I'm really digesting the stories. And you know what it’s like? It’s like that one movie, you know? That one episode where…

For some Bible History Digest: starting in 2000-500 BC, the Old Testament events are written on papyrus scrolls and around 250 BC is translated in Greek in Alexandria. By 200 BC the books are arranged by subject and isn't it interesting that our whole concept of time revolves around Jesus and yet still so much disbelief?

Christ lived and died and rose again fulfilling the Old Covenant Scriptures and then between 45 AD to 300 BC the New Testament was written, translated, and distributed. From then to now, there’s a lot of history about it migrating to the now global text, still the number one best selling book ever. So you could say… the Bible is super old and has a lot of original stories in it. Here’s my list of how I can’t stop seeing Yeshua in literally every movie or tv show I’ve ever seen.

Reading Proverbs is a lot like a literal guide with each verse advising you on your steps to avoid karma, confrontation, or arrows flying straight at you. It’s like that one scene in the beginning of Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark when he’s jumping the stones to avoid the spears.

In Genesis, Proverbs, and Revelations the Bible discusses the Tree of Life, others call it the tree of wealth, wisdom, youth even. It’s like that one movie that just came out about a sacred tree with healing powers… Jungle Cruise. I also have reason to believe that the book of Esther mentions the tree, but that’s an egg you have to discover for yourself!

Speaking of Esther, Haman literally sent out a decree to all 127 provinces in the Persian Empire that for one day and one day only, telling all officials to annihilate the Jews. The Jewish people celebrate this festival every year called Purim. It’s like that one movie, The Purge.

When David coveted Bathsheba, he had her husband sent to the front of the lines in the war to be assassinated. It’s like that one movie Man in the Iron Mask with Leonardo DiCaprio when King Louie does the same thing for the hot blonde girl. Not Raul!! I urge people to read 2 Samuel for yourself to see all the details of those events. Go to the Resource tab to Beth Moore’s website to learn about her Bible Studies on David.

After reading Genesis again and studying Adam and Eve and the Serpent, it’s like that one animated movie Over the Moon where there was a love story until the goddess took a magic potion (took a bite…) and the very fabric of their reality changed.

Reading Exodus and learning about Moses, and not just Charlton Heston’s the 10 Commandments, but more so on the origins of the Canaanites relocation to Egypt and Jacob’s brother Esau… It’s like that one documentary on Amazon of the birth of Rome. Very similar beginnings, but one story is older than the other.

After reading the parable of Simon on the Water in the New Testament, it’s like that one episode of Unsolved Mysteries with the Man on the Rooftop. Are we really ruling out the notion that this man didn’t achieve flight? Where are my mustard seeds at?

Holy Grail, Alexandria Scrolls, Tree of Knowledge, it’s like that one movie National Treasure or Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The Bible also makes several references to the energy of this world as explained all throughout the Old Testament, it’s like that one sequel of Tomb Raider where she hunts for Pandora’s Box. How many think the box is our mouths and the lies we tell?

After reading Revelations and essentially the apocalypse, it’s like that one movie made several different ways, Armageddon, Deep Impact, or Greenland. Does anyone else see the influence just warped to fit the unnecessary drama? Can anyone see that that’s what most fear is, unnecessary drama?

I started this Blog and this site because I’ve become overwhelmed with my God Moments this summer. It’s like that one film genre with Signs, Interstellar, even Twilight. You know the scenes in New Moon where Bella seeks danger to see Edward again? Learning to trust his instinct is a lot like that. He’ll give you the vibes or sometimes just yell at you when you’re not doing the call. Everyone, Choose the Present, hello?!

Learning about Joseph, Daniel, or any prophet really, it’s like that one movie Minority Report when the visions predict the future? The only issue with that parallel is the crimes weren’t actually being committed in the film. Tom Cruise fought the whole movie to display HOPE in every last second to make good choices. Like this world is all about choices or something.

Reading Jeremiah, Amos, Micah, and Hosea, the Bible is teaching us about how our actions affect the land. Have we ever thought that everything happens for a reason and thought it’s like that one trilogy, the Lord of the Rings? Or Star Wars? Prophets, Prophesies, a Return?

So either all these movies played a crucial role by way of overinfluence or the Bible is just Fact and Truth and by reading it you get the keys to the kingdom which is like cracking a code, right? It’s like that one movie The DaVinci Code? If you only read it once over and on the surface, are you really getting your wisdom’s worth?

The Gospels are the focus friends, choose compassion, kindness, gentleness, humility, patience, forgiveness, and love. About all love. If we don’t, then is that how the horror genre gets created? The point being, if all of our writers and producers derive their creative flow from the Bible then why not us all? Why are there so many people actively choosing disbelief by being non active to read one book?

For myself, a beauty advisor, stylist, pride profiler, I can say it’s because I didn’t want to see my true self in the mirror. That’s what the book does. When I realized I’ve been blinded by the way of the world, it’s like that one movie The Village. It makes you face your fears, your errors, it’s personal accountability to the top of the priority list. It’s like that one movie The Never-ending Story where the book is alive and helps Sebastian conquer his fears. But yuck, who wants that?

What can I say, it was the best decision I could have made for myself. It’s like that one saying the Grass is Greener on the other side. It really is friends, it really is. Go to the Resource tab to find any avenue to first steps towards a better life. Even if you think your life is perfectly perfect, it’s still greener being born again.

It’s like that one movie, the Family. It’s like you wake up taking active steps towards all the blessings you ever wanted. Just follow the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy to get there!

I remember something you had told me. Please correct me if I am wrong please. You said "I don't know when I'm am going to see you again, so I am telling you this because when I see you again it will be a bride for a groom" . Makes me think of Mark 2:19 And Jesus said to them, “The sons of the wedding-hall cannot be fasting while the bridegroom is with them, can they? As long a time as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot be fasting. 20 But days will come when the bridegroom is taken-away from them, and then they will fast in that day. If this is true this must be big!
